This Privacy Policy describes how Ali3N Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the EyeShot mobile application (“App”). This policy supplements our general Ali3N Studios Privacy Policy.
EyeShot is a tool for capturing and enhancing close-up photographs of the iris and eye for artistic, creative, and personal use. We built it privacy-first: your photos are stored only on your device, no account is required, and we do not maintain a permanent cloud library of your images.
1. Data We Collect
Your Photos
Every iris or eye photograph you capture or import is saved locally on your device, in the App’s storage. We do not upload, back up, or sync your photo library to our servers. You can delete any photo at any time from the Gallery, and uninstalling the App removes its locally stored photos.
No Account
EyeShot does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, or a user identifier for App functionality.
AI Enhancement (Optional)
If — and only if — you choose an AI enhancement, a copy of that single selected image is sent for processing as described in Section 2. If you never use an AI feature, no image ever leaves your device.
Advertising Data
The free version of the App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads and prevent fraud, the advertising SDK may collect device and usage information, including an advertising identifier, device type, and coarse (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address. See Section 3.
Purchase Confirmation
When you buy AI Credits or an ad-removal purchase, your app store (Google Play) confirms the transaction so we can grant credits or remove ads. We never receive or store your payment card details.
Diagnostics
If you choose to send a diagnostic or bug report, the information you submit (such as a description and basic device/app version details) is used only to investigate the issue.
2. Third-Party AI Processing
The AI Enhancement feature sends your selected image to a third-party AI service. The following disclosure applies to this feature only.
Who receives your data
When you trigger an AI enhancement, a copy of the selected image is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our secure proxy server at api.ali3nstudios.com, which relays it to Google’s Gemini API for processing. Google is an independent third-party data processor.
What is sent
Only the single image you selected for enhancement and the enhancement options you chose (such as the enhancement mode and task) are transmitted. We do not transmit your name, email, account identifier, location, device identifiers, contacts, or any data beyond the image and the enhancement request.
How your data is used
The image is processed solely to generate the enhanced result returned to your device. Your images are not used to train AI models, and they are not stored in a permanent library by us. We do not retain the image on our proxy server after the enhanced result is returned. Transient processing copies may exist briefly on Google’s systems as needed to perform the enhancement, subject to Google’s terms (see the Google Privacy Policy).
Your choice
AI Enhancement is optional. Iris capture, manual editing, color and style presets, the Gallery, batch editing, and sharing all work entirely on-device without ever using an AI feature.
3. Advertising
The free version of EyeShot shows advertisements via Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that grant AI Credits. The advertising SDK may collect an advertising identifier, device information, and coarse location to serve and measure ads. This data is handled by Google in accordance with its policies. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings, and making a qualifying purchase removes advertisements. See Google’s Advertising policies for details.
4. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require an account, name, or email for App functionality
- We do not collect precise GPS location
- We do not collect contacts or address book data
- We do not maintain a cloud library of your photos
- We do not use your iris photos to train AI models
- We do not sell any user data
5. Biometric & Sensitive Data
Iris and eye photographs can be sensitive. EyeShot treats them with care: they are stored only on your device, and they leave the device only when you explicitly request an AI enhancement, and then only as described in Section 2. EyeShot is for artistic and personal use only — it is not a biometric identification or authentication system, and it must not be used for medical assessment or iris diagnosis.
6. Data Storage & Security
- Photos are stored only on your device in the App’s local storage
- AI Enhancement requests are transmitted via HTTPS to our secure server proxy
- We use encrypted connections for any data transmitted for AI processing
- Uninstalling the App removes its locally stored photos from your device
7. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Google (Gemini API) — receives only the image and enhancement options you submit, and only when you choose an AI enhancement. Not used to train AI models. See Section 2.
- Google AdMob — receives advertising and device data to serve ads in the free version. See Section 3.
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. Google handles payment data; we never see your card or billing details.
We do not share data with data brokers or sell user data.
8. Children’s Privacy
EyeShot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it.
9. Your Rights & Choices
- Delete photos individually from the Gallery, or remove all of them by uninstalling the App
- Avoid all cloud processing by simply not using the AI Enhancement features
- Limit ad personalization via your device’s advertising settings, or remove ads with a qualifying purchase
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at developer@ali3nstudios.com.
10. In-App Purchases
EyeShot offers AI Credits and ad-removal through your app store. Purchases are processed by Google Play; we receive only confirmation that a purchase occurred so we can grant the corresponding benefit. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or store policy.
11. Not a Medical Device
EyeShot is for artistic and personal use only. It is not a medical device and must not be used to diagnose, treat, or identify any person or condition, including iris diagnosis (“iridology”) or biometric identification. Always consult a qualified professional for any health concern.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
