Ali3N Studios LLC — Creating Tomorrow's Apps Today

Felt — Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 2026  |  Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Ali3N Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Felt mobile application (“App”). This policy supplements our general Ali3N Studios Privacy Policy.

Felt is a self-reflection and coping tool for adults who experience Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD). We take the privacy of your mental health data extremely seriously. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

1. Data We Collect

Authentication Data

The App uses Firebase Authentication. You may continue as an anonymous guest, or sign in with Apple or Google. When you sign in, we receive your name (where provided), email address, and a unique user ID. This data is used solely for account management and data synchronization across devices.

RSD Screener Data

When you complete the informal RSD self-reflection screener, your responses, total score, band, and AI interpretation are stored in Firebase Firestore under your user account. This data is used to display your results and to inform later AI insights. Screener data is never shared with third parties.

Episode Logs

When you log an RSD episode, the trigger types you selected, intensity rating, physical symptoms, duration, recovery notes, and timestamp are stored. For signed-in accounts this data is stored in Firebase Firestore; in guest mode it is stored only on this device. Episode data is used to power your personal pattern dashboard and weekly AI summaries.

Journal Entries

Reflection journal entries you create are stored in Firebase Firestore (signed-in accounts) or locally on the device (guest mode). Journal entries are visible only to you and are used to power optional weekly AI theme summaries.

Saved Coping Strategies

The list of coping strategies you bookmark is stored locally on your device. This list is not transmitted to our servers.

Communication Scripts

Custom communication scripts you generate using AI are stored only as long as you keep them open in the App. You can copy them to clipboard, dismiss them, or regenerate at any time.

Analytics & Crash Reports

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This helps us improve app stability and understand feature usage. No screener responses, episode details, or journal content are included in analytics.

2. Third-Party AI Processing

Felt offers optional AI features that send your inputs to a third-party AI service. The following disclosure applies to every AI feature in the App.

Who receives your data

Your inputs are transmitted to Anthropic, the operator of the Claude AI model, via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock, an AWS-hosted AI gateway. Requests are routed through our secure proxy server at api.ali3nstudios.com before reaching AWS Bedrock. Anthropic and AWS are independent third-party data processors.

What is sent

Only the inputs required for the AI feature you choose to use are transmitted. Specifically:

  • Screener interpretation — your RSD screener responses, total score, and band
  • Weekly pattern summary — your episode log entries for the relevant time window (trigger types, intensity ratings, durations, optional notes)
  • Personalized coping strategies — the list of trigger types you have logged
  • Custom communication scripts — the situation text you type
  • Journal theme summary — your journal entries when you choose to summarize them

We do not transmit your name, email address, account identifier, location, device identifiers, contacts, or any data outside of the specific input for the feature you invoked.

How your data is used

Anthropic and AWS process your inputs solely to generate the AI response that is returned to you. Your inputs are not used to train Anthropic’s models, in accordance with Anthropic’s Commercial Terms of Service and AWS Bedrock’s terms. We do not retain your inputs on our proxy server after the AI response is returned. Anthropic and AWS may retain operational logs as described in their respective privacy policies (see the Anthropic Privacy Policy and the AWS Privacy Notice).

Your explicit consent

The first time you invoke any AI feature in Felt, the App displays an in-app consent screen that names Anthropic and AWS Bedrock, describes what data will be sent, and explains how that data will be used. No data is transmitted to the AI service unless and until you tap “Continue” on this consent screen. You may decline and continue using Felt without AI features — the screener, episode logger, dashboard charts, coping library, and in-the-moment toolkit all work without AI. You may revoke your consent at any time from Settings, after which the consent screen will be shown again before any future AI use.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect location data
  • We do not collect contacts or address book data
  • We do not collect health or fitness data from device sensors
  • We do not collect browsing history
  • We do not access your photos or camera
  • We do not serve advertisements or collect advertising identifiers
  • We do not track users across other apps or websites
  • We do not sell any user data

4. Data Storage & Security

  • All cloud data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which provides encryption at rest and in transit
  • AI requests are transmitted via HTTPS to our secure server proxy
  • Guest-mode data lives only on your device in encrypted local storage (Room and SharedPreferences) and never reaches our servers
  • Episode logs in guest mode are device-bound — uninstalling the app removes them

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) via AWS Bedrock — receives only the inputs required for the AI feature you invoke (screener responses, episode metadata, trigger list, journal entries, or situation text). Sent only after you grant explicit consent. Not used to train AI models. See Section 2 for the full disclosure.
  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, data storage, analytics, and crash reporting

We do not share data with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data, screener results, episode logs, and journal entries are retained while your account is active
  • AI request payloads are processed transiently and not stored on our server beyond the request
  • You can delete individual journal entries and episode logs from within the App
  • Signing out and reinstalling clears local guest-mode data
  • Account deletion (see Section 8) removes all cloud-side data immediately

7. Children’s Privacy

Felt is designed for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The App includes a non-diagnostic disclaimer that must be acknowledged before use. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data — all data is visible within the App
  • Delete your data — you can delete individual logs and entries inside the App, or perform full account deletion via Settings (see Delete Account)
  • Use guest mode — if you prefer not to sync data to the cloud, the App is fully functional as a guest with all data on-device

For data deletion requests beyond what the App provides, contact us at developer@ali3nstudios.com.

9. No Advertising

Felt does not display advertisements. We do not collect advertising identifiers. We do not participate in any advertising networks. Your mental health is not a monetization opportunity.

10. Crisis Resources & Third-Party Links

The In-the-Moment Toolkit lists external crisis resources (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, Trans Lifeline, The Trevor Project). These services are operated independently and have their own privacy policies. We do not transmit any user data to these services — tapping a number simply opens your phone or messaging app.

11. Not a Diagnostic Tool

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is not a formal DSM-5 diagnosis. Felt is a self-reflection and coping tool, not a clinical assessment. Screener results, AI interpretations, and pattern summaries are intended for personal insight and do not constitute medical or psychological advice. If you are experiencing significant distress, please consult a qualified mental health professional.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
